I did it~ I got to see them!
Well.. kinda. I’m sitting here in the restaurant and been here about an hour and a half (or more?) and I got to sit down and talk with Yuji (husband) who is working tonight, sadly Aeka (wife) has the night off, but he called her up on the phone and I got to talk to her there. That and I wrote her a letter beforehand like he asked me to.. which I would have done either way.
I told them that I was really sorry about not coming sooner, but time slipped by too damn fast here. :\ I still feel really bad about it ya know? But I told them I’d be back next year after I graduate, so even if it’s just for a week or something. And if I keep contact with them as often as I want to, then even if I can’t come, they’ll understand. But I’m definetly coming back in two years. For sure! >=O
He said that his family is doing good. His grandson turned 4 and his two granddaughters are 1 and a half. Only sad news is that Kirita, his cat I had fun with last time, passed on :( Otherwise it seems like everything is going great for them, and that makes me so damn happy.
Another thing that I regret is forgetting to bring the present I was going to give to them. It wasn’t anything amazing, just a picture book of Georgia’s wildlife and forests and such. Aeka really loves flowers, forests and greenery. She showed me a lot of books about the gardens in Kyoto before. Apparently she has a whole 10 book series about them lol So I wanted to show her just some stuff from my homeland :3
Just wish I hadn’t forgotten my damned camera back in the hotel. So at least I’ve got my cellphone with me. And these silly Japanese cameras in the phone are 3megapixals, that’s as good as the brand new iPhone they’re releasing. And this is on a crappy pre-paid model XD
Even Yuji’s phone was pretty damn cool. It was a flip phone that you could twist the screen around and watch TV on it =O No fair!
Anyway, I could talk about these guys for a whole ‘nother page. They’ve taken care of me the last two times I was here. I mean, they didn’t put me up or anything no, I’d never impose that much on them. But they were always kind and interested in what I was doing and would suggest things. And they even took me to a festival last time (pics of that on my myspace) And even the first time I met them, they gave me a shinai, one of those bamboo swords they use in kendo, because I showed a real interest in it.
I’m a little pouty because people keep coming in so he has to go, ya know, do his job of cooking the ramen :V Only two people ever work here at once. At least that’s all I’ve ever seen lol
I’m starting to get sleepy.. and it’s a freaking long walk back to the hotel. Well, only 3km, but I’m tired so it’s a long walk XD
But at the same time, I don’t wanna go. Seems like if I just walk out then… well.. I’m just walking out :\
It’s 12:30 now and I think if I’m gonna go, I’ll go when he finishes this current batch of ramen. I say that, but I’m gonna end up showing him more pics of my family or the study abroad group XD Oh well. He’s my friend that I get to see not nearly enough, so what if my butt is going numb from this stool? Besides, its better to stay up as late as I can tonight. You know, traveling back in time tomorrow. Leave at 3:30 and arrive an hour before I left! =O
*Grumble* a new guy just walked in.. er.. a couple. So I guess I won’t get any time more with him. Oh well. I’ll send some emails and letters.
OH, and somebody remind me to send that damned book when I get home! I’m so pissed off at myself for not sending the package back when I came home last time! It was going to be a Christmas gift of the book, a Coke cookiejar and a few other Georgia-things.
…It’s STILL sitting in my closet! X.x Oh well..
Well, I’m off now. Long ways to go~

12:37
I lied. XD I got caught up doing a few other things and then he asked if I liked coke and now I’ve got a coke :3
Another reason I love this place. I mean, of course I’m not going to just accept all of this and not expect to pay, I’m going to double whatever he says. It just wouldn’t feel right to take advantage of his generosity *nod nod*
Lol, the couple that came in before ordered something more right as he was coming back to talk to me again and they said they were sorry for taking him away from talking to me. He said ‘we are his Japanese parents’ and they were both like ‘O_o!? Eh!? Seriously?” So he had to explain it to them.. then the wife was saying something and I agreed with her.. which surprised the hell out of her. ‘Eh! He can understand Japanese!?’ Then the husband pipes up, ‘obviously or else he wouldn’t be studying over here,” XD This is why I love little places like this. Even in the big city of Tokyo you can get little small-town things :3

7:30
There. All packed up :3
I got home around 1:50 last night and the walk was surprisingly easy and kind of intersting. I was on a main street so nothing too unique or weird of note. Then I got in, took a shower to wash the smoke out of mah skin, then hit the sack.
Right now I'm sitting here freezing cold because of Jeff's love of turning the A/C down to 65 or so.. :\ And looking around for anything i'm forgetting... like my prinnies! =O! *yoinks*
I wonder if I can even bring these..? Will TSA see their explosive potential or only take them at face value. A foolish move that results in slit throats at night :V
