Yeesh. Finally got on the bullet
train to Tokyo. After gathering up around 10:30, Amoroso held a meeting about how the trip is going, what he’s expecting for the last half and such. “There’s only three people that speak Japanese on the trip and I won’t name names, but I’m hearing from some that those people are giving the impression that ‘I don’t have to worry because I speak the language and can do it on my own.”
Hrmp.
I don’t give that impression. I give it because I’ve been here before and done it all. Twice! :V

Anyway. After that bore-fest, we headed out to the station and got our reserve tickets and such ready… and had an hour to kill until the train leaves. The whole time we just sat around one of the columns in the central area with enough luggage to put some refugee camps to shame. I was sitting on my ass playing PSP (and losing -_-) when one guy told me that the security guard came over and told us that we can’t sit down.. but we can crouch and squat.
Whut? :\
Oh well whatever. So I stood the rest of the time, as did everyone else.
Once it got close to time, we shuffled inside the terminal, flashed our passes and headed to the platform. We came up around car 6 and 7… and we wanted car 14. You can’t even SEE that car from there. Each car is roughly 75-100 feet long so… you do the math (I’m lazy). And still sleepy.
So we got to the right car and waited for the train. When it finally came I was so happy that I was the one leading the pack to the car. I was only behind Amoroso and the wife when we got on the train. Seat 2E, window :3 Fuck yah~ So I toss my duffle bag up to the overhead area and sit down with my backpack.. and then just watch the other 12 people struggle and fight with these huuuuge rolling suitcases. I swear I remember Amo saying he didn’t want us to bring rolling carriers.. for this exact reason :\ They’re gonna be dying in the Tokyo subways XD
I think the only other person besides me that doesn’t have a rolling suitcase but a duffle is roomie.
You know, I should probably stop calling him roomie now that I actually remember his name. I thought about doing it before, but didn’t’ wanna suddenly toss you guys a curveball~ XD He’s Jeff. And besides turning into a hermit just to stay online (and hog the net) to webcam with his g/f, he’s pretty damn cool.
So now just relaxing and typing this up as the scenery goes rollin’ on by. All ish well :3

3:10
Sat down in the hotel and all ish good. The A/C is blowing hard and we’re just chillin. Looks like only one LAN cable again.. and it doesn’t even work.
BUT there’s WIFI! Admittedly it’s a low signal and we’re actually leeching off from what we think next door, but the point stands.
It feels so good to be off my feet and without my bags in hand. Er.. well I was carrying my duffel on my shoulder most of the time since it was out of the way and the straps slice into my fingers :\
Ahhh~ <3 style="">
Looks like the WIFI isnt’ as… stable as we’d hoped. Might have to actually ask for some real access XD
Anyway… Ueno is a big ass station and it’s where I stayed both times here before, so this is my old stomping ground. Tonight I’ll probably go out and check to see if my Japanese Parents are still running a ramen shop here or not :\ I havent’ gotten in contact with them in so long. I went on road-view on Google before we came here and I didn’t’ recognize their sign there… Has me concerned :(
But for the moment.. my stomach is saying ‘feeeeeed meh!!’ So we’ll go next door to Freshness Burger :3
