Wish somebody else had gone. -_-
No no, the aquarium was a lot of fun. Don’t get me wrong. The dolphins were swimmin’ and the turtles were swimmin’ and even a cartoon fish was swimmin’ (with wires).
What pissed me off was being The Third Wheel.
We met her at the station and she was all happy to see Joey and stuff, then noticed me and I could just see the happiness drain out of her eyes. At that point I stopped having fun. I mean, it’d have been just fine had she brought a friend with her. And I don’t mean a girl for me to go on a date with, but even a guy. Hell, even a pet! Someone for me to talk to and look at stuff with -_-
So then off we go and I fall in about 3 feet behind them, which is where I stayed most of the f-king trip. At first I thought it’d be ok, ya know. She doesn’t know much English, so I’d be there to help translate and stuff. But it seems like she knew more and more the more we walked. And I’m not talking miles but yards. By the time we reached the subway train, she never said 4 more words to me. So we sit on the train and ride it to the end of the line at port, where the aquarium was. They sat across from me and were talking and stuff.. and didn’t look up at me -_-
Got to the aquarium and she paid for our tickets, $20 apiece, so that was nice of her.
Walked inside to a maaaasive dolphin tank where they were swimming around and looking back at the gawking humans inside.
There was also a lot of exhibits for the new Miyazaki (I think)’s new movie about a boy that turns into a fish, one tank was a display of the fishboy 'swimming' about from a set of wires while a commercial played on tv's next to it. There were Beluga whales, turtles and a few other assorted fishies there.
Then there was the history part of the trip, which showed ancient fishes and other human things, like very old pictures of some of these 'monsters'. One of them was a set of diving suits that turn you into a BDSM pervert just from seeing them.
See what I mean? Kinky.
By this point I had long, long left the two of them behind to get some alone time together and went off on my own to check out the exhibits.
Down and down I went, then went up and up on the tour, finally stopping just before the exit at the penguin enclosure! Squeeee~!
I watched them swim and waddle around for a while and sat down to wait for those two.
Took about 10 minutes but they finally showed up.
So we exited the building then walked across the bridge in the harbor towards the Maritime Museum
It was already closed down by then, so we just kept going and stopped for a drink in a rest-stop building. Where they continued to leave me in the dark of their talks. I sat first at the head of a table, Joey sat next to me.. then she sat on the otherside two seats down, so Joey moved over to sit between.
At this point I just want to GTFO. The only thing that kept me from just standing up, saying 'Good luck' and walking off was this whole damn buddy system.
Rode the train back in silence. Well.. I was silent, they forgot I was there. Seriously. So I got on the transfer train a full car length away from them then once we got back to Nagoya station, I just made a b-line for the hotel. But I did call him and told him I was leaving him alone from this point.
Oh yeah, that green soda up top is what I had for lunch. Before all this, roomie can down and wanted to go look for a power cord (because his laptop finally ran out of juice from me taking the cable down to the lobby. If he was going to hog the net to webcam with his g/f, I was gonna at least have the power :V ). So we walked around, took him to that electronics store and found an adapter for him. Then we went out looking for Mos Burger. Couldn't find it :\
Instead just went to Denny's. I finally got mah egg rice! With chicken in it :3 So that was good. And had melon soda to finish it all off. Mmm~
