Just woke up thinking it was pooooouring down rain outside.
It was just roomie taking a shower lol So then, today I has no plans, and nothing better to do than just hang around and take a load off for once. I’ll probably go do some shopping/browsing around.
7:58pm
Yeah I could have made a bunch of posts between then and now, but why? Lol
Oh, first thing. I was right after all, it was pouring rain until about 5 this afternoon.
So me and Joey went out around noon or so to go shopping in Osu, a huge mall. Well.. when we Americans here 'mall' we think of a building, but this was a shopping arcade. A covered strip that circled, crossed and split in on itself over and over again. We went looking just for random crap like shirts or the like. Found a number of freakin’ huge pachinko parlors and lots of tiny restaurants. In the end, we didn’t buy a thing except for a shirt for his friend. In a shop called American Fashion, by American Eagle, a yellow shirt that says GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY TOWN in big red letters lol
We also stopped in a few arcades and killed time. First was this super-cheap place that had games for 50yen… for TWO games! =O! The average game costs 100yen for one game. So we played there for a round or two on the Fist of the North Star (me) and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (
Joey). Then found another arcade a bit later. This one had all kinds of weird games…
This one is your standard UFO Catcher game. And the prize? Live beetles. No shittin'. In Japan, bug collecting is a pretty big thing, and beetles are thought to be really cool among kids.
Another game had two D-shaped things that you grab in each hand and use for all kinds of diffrent things. Like some of the demos shown had you hold them sideways and 'steer' a motorcycle with it, another was a 'kung-fu' match.
Then there was the game that you actually throw balls at the screen. Sure they're just those ball-pit kind of balls, but still...
And the one that made me squeel with joy was Silent Hill. That's right.
Silent Hill the arcade game.
It was hidden by one of those tattered cloths around the booth so it's all dark and stuff.
It's a shooter. A goddamn, on-rails shooter. And it's EASY! >=O That's just not right!
Wait.. Let me resay that. It WOULD be easy if the gun worked at all. I'm not kidding. I had to just guess where the shots would go. If I fired anywhere near the left half of the screen, it would reload. At the last part I got to, there were the Nurses (of course). Joey watched me empty an entire 3 clips into the screen to try and hit just two of the nurses.. and only 1 in 5 trigger pulls actually fired anything... *Sigh* Oh well. It didn't have anything but the name going for it anyway :\
Then on the way home we saw a whole ton of pigeons on the roof of a shrine entrance. Nothing really 'Japanese' about it, but still cool :3
Then on the way home, we ate at McDonalds. Two cheeseburgers and a small drink :3
And I'm getting hungry again...
Ya know, since I've been paying almost no attention to making this post, it's close to 10pm now lol
Tempted to call up Joey and see if he wants something to eat... but I've no idea what -I- want :\
